Steve called me and I could hear straight away the exhaustion in his voice. His business was going great in terms of income, but he was working long hours to make it all happen, and that was taking a toll.
He felt Tired, Overworked and Exhausted
He wanted to spend more time with his 6 month old baby and wife, his priorities had shifted since having a baby, but he felt trapped and didn’t know how to cut his hours down in the business without taking a drop in income. He still had staff to pay, and his new growing family to support so reducing the income wasn’t an option.
Steve’s biggest challenge was that he was spending so much time just getting qualified leads for his business, finding the prospects that he could potentially help and turn into clients. This prospecting process was the biggest drain on his time even though it was generating the results he needed. He was out there going to networking events, having coffee meetings with people and making cold calls every day to find the leads.
If only he could cut down the time it took for this process and find the actual qualified prospects way more easily, then he could work less and spend that much needed time with his family that he so badly desired and have some down time so that he wasn’t so exhausted.
I felt Steve’s pain, I think we have all felt trapped and exhausted in our businesses at some point on the journey right? I knew that I could help him really easily, and I told him a strategy that I believed would solve all his problems…. quickly. He was pretty sceptical that his problem could be fixed with one strategy and that it could be fixed quickly, but he trusted me since I had helped him before and got some great results. Often the answer to most business problems is way simpler than you may think.
So together we got the strategy implemented. It didn’t take long, and the new strategy was up and running. The great thing about this strategy is that once it is set up it is pretty much on auto pilot bringing in qualified leads for Steve’s business… well that was the plan anyway!
I got a call two weeks later from Steve… he was ecstatic. “We’ve got 63 new leads and many of them are ready to buy!” I was so happy for him. Not only did he get 63 new leads in just two weeks, but they were high quality leads that actually wanted help with what he was offering. In the past it would have taken Steve 3-4 months and a lot of time and hard work to get that many leads of that standard and he now had a strategy that did it in two weeks… and the best news was that it was repeatable so he could continue using the strategy and get leads (and clients) way faster and easier than he had done before.
The result of all of this was that Steve got more time off with his family, in fact when I rang him a few weeks later to see how it was all going, I got told by the receptionist that he doesn’t work on Friday’s anymore. He was in fact taking 3 days off a week to spend time with his family.
