There are often common themes that run through my coaching sessions at particular times. I’ve had one such theme running through my client sessions lately that I wanted to share with the Amazing Business community because I know this is relevant to so many business owners. It could in fact completely change your business for the better.
Going shallow doesn’t help your business shine and thrive.
It usually limits your business growth and holds you back.
Go deep instead.
What do I mean by this cryptic message?
I tend to work with experts in their field. People who have such deep, amazing and vast knowledge about their industry and the area that they help their clients/customers with. I truly work with amazing people that have a desire to make the world a better place in their own way with their products and services.
Except, they hide this knowledge and wisdom from the world for only a few to see… and not surprisingly, they are regularly struggling in business because of it.
These “undercover experts” don’t really let the world SEE the depth of what they have to offer or the expertise that they have. They certainly don’t own the true VALUE that they provide to their clients/customers.
The social media posts that are put out are usually generic and shallow. They don’t even skim the surface of what these amazing people know, or rather, what their ideal clients need to know. They dull down the value they bring and how they can help their prospects. The interesting thing is, that this isn’t usually something they are even aware they are doing.
Trust me, I GET IT, because this also used to be me! I didn’t own my value, I didn’t talk about how I could really help people, I went shallow, skimmed the surface and didn’t let people see how deep my knowledge and expertise really was. It was hurting my business and unfortunately it was all my fault!
Why don’t we value our expertise?
I’ve been in business now for 20 years. That’s a lot of experience, knowledge and wisdom that I can use to really help people speed up the results that they get for their business. My clients get the benefit of this knowledge and experience every time they have a session with me. As a result, they get some pretty amazing results. But that doesn’t mean I don’t ever get the “I’m not good enough” chatter in my head. Because I do. That sadly doesn’t ever go away. But it does get less dominant the more you own your value and take action in your business.
It wasn’t until I started embracing the depth of my own value and how I could help people that getting clients became a lot easier!
But, society doesn’t exactly encourage us owning our greatness. So it makes sense why so many of us business owners tend to hide our sparkle and dull ourselves down.
We are currently in great times of change, in life and in business. So how you grow your business in times of change can be challenging.
Here’s the thing, you can authentically showcase yourself or your business to your ideal clients/customers. You can go deeper and communicate your own expertise without being arrogant and obnoxious. True story! Attract the people you want to buy off you by showcasing the depth of what you, your services, your products, your business does.
Try it and see how your business shifts. And remember that not everyone is your client so your it doesn’t have to resonate with everyone, just the right people who your business can help… your ideal clients.
